How to play Mr Thimble
Baldwin and fellow casino entrepreneur Shawn Scott arrived in Laos in 2007 with ambitious plans to build a casino business aimed partly at customers crossing the country’s borders.
The pair established Sanum Investments and partnered with Laotian conglomerate ST Group. Baldwin later testified that the investors initially committed around $7.5 million to the venture, which envisaged two casino resorts and several slot clubs.
Their biggest success was Savan Vegas, strategically located near the Friendship Bridge linking Laos with neighboring Thailand across the Mekong River. A planned second resort, Paksong Vegas, was never built.
What is Mr Thimble?
The headline mechanical difference is a shift in risk profile. This variant runs on a 5×3 grid with 10 paylines at an RTP of 96.50%, and the volatility has been eased to medium against the high-variance base game. That softens the swings while keeping the same top-end potential.
That ceiling stays substantial at 20,000x the bet. It’s reserved for a fully developed free spins round where Fisherman Wilds collect Money symbol values and progressive retriggers push collection multipliers higher.
The one genuinely new seasonal wrinkle is a pumpkin symbol. It can land during free spins to award mid-bonus upgrades, layered on top of the ante bet and feature-buy options already familiar across the range. For an experienced Big Bass player, the proposition is deliberately recognizable rather than reinvented.

Set on a 5×4 grid with 40 paylines, the reels feature returning favourites alongside new characters like the Ticket Master, Bomber, and Pyromancer. The Nuclear Wild feature can trigger at any spin, locking onto reels and detonating into full wild reels for powerful wins. Land 3 or more Bonus symbols to enter the bonus round, where each symbol adds a multiplier and 3 spins. New symbols reset the spins, while Ticket symbols push the train forward through stations, carrying it deeper across the wasteland toward its final destination. With relentless progression, layered features, and explosive potential at every turn, Money Train 5 offers win potential up to 50,000x the bet in Standard Mode, rising to 100,000x in Ultra Mode.
